Hopefully we don´t run into any snipers.
We have just a few short days left on the farm! We depart on Thursday to go to San Gerardo, the small hamelt at the base of Cerro Chirripo. We will spend 6 days there at a previously mentioned hostel, Casa Mariposa. As was explained, we are going to be hostel-sitting (think The Shining, but much less snow and insanity and hauntedness. Actually, just think of the time you house sat for someone) for the couple who run the place. It´s beautiful and homey and will be a welcome change from the open air cabin we´ve just recently gotten used to. Hooray!
The farm has been an amazing experience, filled with joy as well as frustration. To start our trip and have a stable place as base camp was nice, but our itchy feet long to get moving. Our plans for the future are just outlines at this point, but we will soon be filling them in with vibrant color. Wish us luck!
